Drone Wars

July 21, 2011

Glenn Greenwald has a good post about the civilian deaths caused by un-manned drone attacks in Pakistan and how the administration’s claim that there have been no civilian casualties is totally dishonest. It seems like when it comes to war, foreign policy, accountability and misleading the American public, the Obama administration isn’t all that different from the Bush administration.

Why does this matter? Well, it’s much easier to maintain support for all of our wars if people are under the impression that only Evil Terrorists are dying, as opposed to innocent men, women and children. I mean, using remote control death planes is almost like a video game, right?
